Quantity Surveyor

Location: Reading (5 days onsite)
Reports to: Commercial Director
Rate: £350-£420 per day
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial delivery of fit-out projects, ensuring effective cost management, value for money, and high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Review contract documents, bills of quantities, and tender submissions.
Manage project costs, valuations, subcontractor accounts, and invoicing.
Identify and manage commercial risks and contractual claims.
Monitor project progress and prepare commercial reports.
Re-measure projects against estimated bills of quantities.
Support procurement and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with relevant building contracts and health & safety regulations.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

Requirements

Ideally RICS chartered or degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying.
6-10 years' Quantity Surveying experience on projects valued between £50k and £2.5m.
Proven experience delivering profitable commercial projects.
Background in fit-out, contracting, or Design & Build (D&B).
Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
Full UK driving licence.
