Your salary, benefits & hours of work

£45,000 - £55,000 + 5% Bonus, Private Medical, Share Save & Pension

Monday to Thursday, 8:45am to 4:45pm, with a 4pm finish on Friday. Flexibility required.

What you'll do as the HSE Officer

Working alongside the HSE Manager, you'll keep the site's safety and environmental systems running well. The split is roughly 60% health and safety, 40% environment.

Carry out site audits, safety tours, inspections and behavioural safety conversations out on the plant.
Manage environmental compliance, including permits, waste management, packaging regulations, and the Climate Change Agreement.
Look after ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements, from audits and documentation to accreditation.
Support Process Safety Management tasks, including risk assessments, MOC, PSI reviews, PSSR, and PHA work.
Develop and deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training to groups on-site.
Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and compile the monthly safety metrics.What you'll need to apply for the HSE Officer

NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent), with a working grasp of risk assessment, COSHH, permit-to-work and safe systems of work.
Hands-on experience in an SH&E, HSE or health and safety officer role, within manufacturing or industrial operations.
Practical experience of audits, inspections and behavioural safety, plus working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.Interested?
