Technical Coordinator
Permanent | Full-time
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced operation, supporting the technical team with day-to-day food safety, quality assurance, and compliance activities across site. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring technical data accuracy, and supporting smooth production through effective communication and forward planning.
Working closely with production, commercial, and technical teams, you'll act as the technical point of contact for 1-2 UK retail accounts, managing specifications, customer line details, and raw material compliance in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
What you'll be doing
As a Technical Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting internal audits and monitoring site compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
Acting as the technical point of contact for 1-2 UK retail accounts following a structured handover
Managing customer line details alongside the commercial team to ensure production has accurate, up-to-date information
Assisting with supplier approval and raw material compliance, ensuring specifications and documentation are correct and current
Supporting complaint investigations, non-conformance management, and corrective actions
Maintaining and organising technical documentation, records, and test results accurately
Providing support to wider technical systems, including labelling and data management systems
Working proactively with the team to manage fast-moving customer requests and changing priorities
Supporting forward planning and essential out-of-hours cover when required to minimise operational issues
What we're looking for
We're looking for a proactive, organised individual with a strong interest in technical and quality functions, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Ideally, you'll have:
Experience within a Technical, Quality, or Food Safety role
A good understanding of food safety legislation and industry standards (BRCGS or equivalent)
HACCP Level 3, Food Safety, or Quality Management training (desirable)
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Confidence interpreting specifications, technical data, and test results
A solution-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Competent IT skills and confidence working with technical systems and documentation
