This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and well-resourced specialist setting, where you will have the chance to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role
Teach Food Technology to secondary-aged students.
Plan and deliver engaging, practical and differentiated lessons.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to develop confidence, independence and valuable life skills.
Work closely with support staff and the wider school team to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour while building positive relationships with students.The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
Confident managing behaviour and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
Previous experience within an SEMH, SEND or alternative provision setting is desirable but not essential.What the School Offers
