Are you looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant role in Cardiff? Whether you're seeking full-time, part-time, or flexible work, Teaching Personnel would love to hear from you.

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools across central Cardiff. We ask that candidates are available to work at least two days per week, with opportunities to fit around your availability.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, from Foundation Phase through to Key Stage 2. You'll gain experience in a variety of school settings while helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Some roles may also involve providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs, so confidence in supporting children with varying abilities and needs is highly desirable.

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is beneficial but not essential. If you have a genuine passion for supporting young learners and are eager to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to use their initiative.
Build positive professional relationships with pupils, teachers, parents, and school staff.
Have strong communication skills and feel confident supporting individuals or small intervention groups.
Be comfortable providing 1:1 support to pupils with additional learning needs.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider school team.
Be adaptable, reliable, and confident working across different year groups and school environments.

Essential Requirements:

An Enhanced Child Only DBS (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration (mandatory for working in schools in Wales).
Experience working with children in either a professional or personal capacity is desirable.
The ability to provide professional references.
