Production Planner

Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week) Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 1:00pm

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Production Planner to join their busy manufacturing team in Tewkesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about driving efficiency, improving service levels, and ensuring customer orders are delivered on time.

Working closely with Customer Services, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling production to maximise capacity while maintaining high quality and on-time delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and schedule daily manufacturing orders using ERP planning systems.

* Manage production capacity and resources to achieve on-time delivery targets.

* Develop and continuously improve production planning and scheduling processes.

* Work closely with internal departments to create and monitor production plans.

* Lead order book reviews to optimise factory performance.

* Liaise with manufacturing teams to resolve production planning issues.

* Monitor and report planning KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement.

* Maintain accurate planning master data within the ERP system.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and cost reduction.

What We're Looking For

* Previous production planning experience within a manufacturing environment.

* Experience using ERP planning systems.

* Strong organisational and time management skills.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.

* Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.

* Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
