Are you an experienced Buyer with a background in procurement within manufacturing environments? A rapidly growing manufacturing business in Cheshire is looking for a Buyer to support the smooth running of supply chain and purchasing activities. This is a Monday to Friday days role, with an early 12:30pm finish on Fridays. The position offers a salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience.

The Role:
Raise and manage purchase orders for raw materials, consumables and subcontract services
Source competitive quotations and negotiate pricing, lead times and supply agreements
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments
Monitor stock levels and ensure materials are available to support production schedules
Track supplier performance, deliveries and quality standards
Resolve supply chain issues and communicate potential risks to relevant departments
Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement activities
Maintain accurate purchasing records and system data
Ideal Candidate:
Previous buying or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
Confident using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft office packages
Understanding of steel, fabrications or engineering materials is advantageous
Commercial awareness and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively across departments
