QTS Teacher with BSL Training – Secondary School, Chelmsford

Full-Time | September Start | Potential Permanent Opportunity

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated Qualified Teacher (QTS) with British Sign Language (BSL) training to work in a welcoming secondary school in Chelmsford.

This is a full-time position for an initial one-term placement, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate. The school is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment and is looking for a teacher who is passionate about supporting students with hearing impairments while delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.

The Role

As the successful candidate, you will:

Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to secondary-aged pupils.
Support students with hearing impairments using British Sign Language (BSL) where appropriate.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
Work closely with the school's SEND team and wider teaching staff to ensure students receive the support they need.
Assess, monitor and report on student progress.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Have British Sign Language (BSL) training or qualification (Level 2 or above is desirable).
Have experience teaching in a secondary school environment.
Be committed to inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs.
Have excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
