We’re looking for a Plater / Fabricator to join a leading manufacturer in Tameside.
This is a role suited to someone with fabrication experience and confidence operating rolling machinery, as you will be forming and assembling steel components to technical specifications.

What will you be doing as a Plater / Fabricator?
* Reading technical drawings and fabricating steel components to specification
* Operating rolling machines to form materials accurately
* Forming and assembling components using hand and power tools
* Using fabrication equipment including guillotines, auto-feed saws, grinders and punch presses
* Operating MIG weld tracking and seam welding equipment
* Inspecting finished components to make sure they meet the required standards
* Working to production targets while maintaining safety, accuracy and efficiency
What will you need?
* Experience in a similar plating or fabrication role
* Previous experience operating rolling machines
* Experience using fabrication tools and manufacturing machinery
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* A time-served apprenticeship would be advantageous
