This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Tax & Accounts Manager to join a successful and expanding accountancy practice, taking ownership of a varied portfolio while playing a key role in the continued growth of the firm.
Approximately 60% of your time will be spent delivering tax advisory services, 20% reviewing accounts and compliance work, and 20% managing client relationships and supporting the wider team. You'll work closely with Partners on complex advisory assignments while mentoring and developing junior staff.
This role offers genuine autonomy, exposure to high quality clients and a clear route towards Associate Director. For ambitious individuals, there is a defined long term pathway into Director or Partner level.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Advisory
Deliver proactive tax planning advice to owner managed businesses and private clients.
Advise on corporate tax, personal tax, business restructures and succession planning.
Lead HMRC enquiries and technical projects.
Review complex tax returns and computations.
Accounts Review
Review statutory accounts and corporation tax computations.
Provide technical guidance across the accounts team.
Ensure compliance with professional standards.
Portfolio Management
Manage a substantial client portfolio.
Build long term client relationships.
Monitor workflow, WIP and recoverability.
Mentor and develop Senior staff.
RequirementsRequirements
ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified.
Significant experience within accountancy practice.
Strong technical tax knowledge.
Previous portfolio management experience.
Proven leadership and mentoring ability.
Benefits
