Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant
Location: Manchester
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + Benefits
An established environmental and engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join its growing Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of brownfield redevelopment, infrastructure and industrial projects while taking on greater responsibility in project delivery, mentoring junior staff and client management.
You'll be joining a collaborative multidisciplinary team with a strong pipeline of work and genuine opportunities to progress into more senior technical and project management positions.
The Role
As a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant, your responsibilities will include:
Managing contaminated land and geoenvironmental projects from inception through to completion.
Designing, supervising and interpreting ground investigations.
Producing Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Interpretative Reports and Remediation Strategies.
Completing generic and detailed quantitative risk assessments.
Liaising with regulators, clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
Managing project programmes, budgets and resource allocation.
Mentoring and supporting junior consultants.
Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
Requirements
Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
Several years' UK consultancy experience in geoenvironmental or contaminated land.
Strong report writing and technical interpretation skills.
Experience managing projects and clients.
Knowledge of current UK contaminated land guidance and legislation.
Full UK driving licence.
