The Role
As a Primary Teacher, you will deliver engaging, creative and inclusive lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Working alongside experienced teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral staff, you'll create a positive learning environment where pupils feel safe, supported and motivated to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
* Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
* Build positive relationships that promote confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.
* Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with a range of additional needs.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and the wider school team.
* Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
* Promote positive behaviour through consistent routines and supportive practice.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* An experienced Primary Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
* Passionate about inclusive education and helping every child achieve success.
* Patient, resilient and able to build strong relationships with pupils.
* Confident adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
* A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
* In possession of an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to obtain one.
