What You'll Do:
As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will report directly to the Technical Manager and play a crucial role in shaping both current and future electronic product offerings. Your expertise will support multiple departments and ensure excellence in delivering high-quality products to customers worldwide.
Here's what you can expect:
Design & Development: Utilise your skills in analogue and digital PCB design to create cutting-edge electronic products.
Product Lifecycle Management: Engage in the full product lifecycle, from concept generation through to product release, and demonstrate your ability to deliver designs into service.
Compliance & Standards: Navigate the regulatory landscape of the UK, EU, and US, ensuring your designs meet all necessary compliance standards.
Team Collaboration: Work hands-on with your team to tackle challenges from first principles, fostering an environment of innovation and problem-solving.
Quality Assurance: Review, update, and potentially redesign existing electrical items to enhance quality and safety standards.
Documentation & Support: Generate essential documentation, including Wiring Diagrams and build instructions, to guide manufacturing processes and support product testing throughout their lifecycle.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, and be ready to roll up your sleeves to get involved with hands-on projects. Here's what you should bring to the table:
Strong background in analogue and digital PCB design, including Linear & Pulse Width Modulation Power Supplies, DC Motor Controls, and Battery Chargers.
Proficient in fault finding to component level and safe practises regarding mains voltage primary Transformers.
Relevant Electronics Degree (or equivalent) and a CSCS card.
Familiarity with Assembler/BASCOM/FlowCode programming languages is a plus.
Experience in PCB design using EasyPC is desirable.
