Energy Manager
Contract Length: 6 months initially
Location: Remote with occasional visits to Peterborough, London and York
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Candidate: UMB - £390 or PAYE £287.34
Responsibilities
Lead and improve the route's energy management plan.
Monitor, analyse and report energy consumption.
Maintain alignment with ISO 50001.
Carry out route‑wide energy audits.
Produce usage insights and identify efficiency opportunities.
Develop cases for efficiency investment.
Coordinate energy‑reduction programmes.
Deliver workshops and create guidance.
Track regulatory changes and share updates.
Share best practice internally and externally.
Work with the Utilities Specialist on improvements.
Essential experience
Implementing and maintaining Energy Management Systems to BS EN ISO 50001:2011.
Proven experience delivering measurable improvements in energy performance.
CMPV qualification - Certified Measurement and Verification Professional training.
Analytical skills - Strong numerical analysis and data‑interpretation capability.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Experience creating and delivering training materials.
Strong ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Previous experience managing projects effectively.
