Job Title: Principal Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller
Salary: £55,000 to £78,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Falmer (Brighton) - Hybrid / Home Working with occasional site visits
Type: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours/week)

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Principal Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller to lead delivery teams on a range of wastewater projects. The role combines technical leadership, stakeholder management, and innovation to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams.
Liaise with stakeholders and prepare reports, specifications, datasheets, and technical content for contracts.
Approve designs and ensure adherence to technical governance and QA standards.
Manage project finances to ensure delivery within budget.
Resolve complex design issues and challenge company standards to promote continuous improvement.
Research industry best practice and promote digital design innovation.
Collaborate with supply chains and delivery partners to drive efficiency.
Line manage, coach, and mentor junior engineers, ensuring staff engagement and development.
What Our Client is Looking For:

MEng, BEng, BSc, or HNC in Engineering, Environmental, or numerate science-related subject.
Chartered Engineer with a relevant Engineering/Scientific Institution.
Proven experience delivering wastewater hydraulic modelling projects within the UK Water Industry.
Strong understanding of wastewater engineering theory, hydraulic modelling, and solution development.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Full driving licence and competency in MS Office and relevant IT design tools.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
