The Opportunity
Global Highland are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic bartender to for our client a luxury hotel in the Dingwall area. This is the ideal opportunity for a bartender with an excellent knowledge of whisky who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service, preparing and serving drinks efficiently, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard.
* Good knowledge of cocktails
* Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
* Take drink orders accurately and process payments using the till/POS system.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, equipment, and workstations.
* Restock beverages, garnishes, and bar supplies as required.
* Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
* Verify customers' age and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with licensing laws.
* Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
* Be able to talk to guests about the various whiskies available behind the bar
Requirements
* Previous experience working in a bar, pub, restaurant, or hospitality venue.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
* Good knowledge of whisky, beers, wines, spirits, cocktails, and bar service techniques.
* Strong teamwork and organisational skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and flexible, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Experience using electronic till or POS systems is desirable.
* Knowledge of licensing regulations and responsible alcohol service.
* Due to the location of this role candidates would be required to have access to own transport due to location.
