Document Controller
About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Document Controller to work for our client within the Energy sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role requiring 2–3 days per week onsite in the Bristol area.
Our client is seeking an experienced Document Controller to support the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring project documentation is effectively managed, controlled and maintained throughout the project lifecycle, supporting compliance, governance and successful project delivery within a complex engineering environment.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring records are accurate, controlled and readily accessible.
* Support document review, approval and distribution processes in line with project and organisational standards.
* Monitor document revisions, version control and audit trails throughout the project lifecycle.
* Act as a key interface between internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders regarding project documentation.
* Maintain document registers, transmittal records, metadata and reporting to support governance and compliance requirements.
About You
* Demonstrable experience working as a Document Controller or Information Manager within large infrastructure, utilities or construction programmes.
* Experience using SharePoint, Common Data Environments (CDEs) and document management systems.
* Strong understanding of document control processes, version control, metadata management and information governance.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Eligible to undergo and obtain BPSS clearance.
