Agricultural Area Sales Manager

Location: Wymondham, Norfolk

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Agricultural Area Sales Manager on behalf of our client based in Wymondham, Norfolk.

Main Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sale of new and used agricultural machinery and associated equipment within a designated territory. This is a customer-facing role focused on developing long-term relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while achieving sales targets.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Develop and manage relationships with existing and prospective customers within your designated sales area.

* Promote and sell new and used agricultural machinery along with associated equipment.

* Identify new business opportunities and maximise sales within your territory.

* Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the branch.

* Represent the dealership and its portfolio of leading agricultural brands professionally.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, industry developments, and competitor activity.

* Demonstrate machinery and equipment to customers where required.

* Ensure all products are delivered in line with company and manufacturer standards.

* Attend customer events, exhibitions, and promotional activities to generate new business.

* Deliver a first-class customer experience throughout the entire sales process.

Additional Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate customer records and complete all sales administration efficiently.

* Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure excellent customer service.

* Be flexible to work additional hours during peak seasonal periods, including occasional weekends.

* Act as a positive ambassador for both the company and its brands at all times.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

* Previous experience in agricultural sales, parts, or service.

* Strong knowledge of the agricultural industry and agricultural machinery.

* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own territory.

* Target-driven with a proven ability to achieve and exceed sales objectives.

* Strong negotiation, influencing, and closing skills.

* Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.

* Full UK driving licence is essential.

Working Pattern & Benefits

* Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch). Additional hours may be required during seasonal peak periods, including occasional weekends.

* Benefits: 32 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays), Company Sick Pay Scheme, Workplace Pension, Employee Referral Bonus Scheme, Winter Flu Vaccination, Wellbeing Programme, Staff Discount in Country Stores, Life Assurance (2x salary), Company Car and Commission Scheme.
