You'll work closely with the senior leadership team, leading the site's hygiene function while driving continuous improvement, supporting audits and developing a high-performing team in an environment supplying major UK retailers.

Your responsibilities as Hygiene Manager
Lead the site's hygiene operation, ensuring cleaning activities consistently meet business and customer standards.
Manage hygiene schedules, deep cleans, equipment strip-downs and reassembly to maintain full operational readiness.
Drive compliance with HACCP, COSHH, BRC Standards, food safety and health & safety requirements while maintaining accurate audit documentation.
Lead investigations into hygiene non-conformances, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage labour, chemical, water and consumable costs while monitoring key operational performance measures.
Coach, develop and manage the hygiene team, overseeing training, appraisals, staffing levels and employee relations processes.
What we're looking for in a Hygiene Manager
Previous management experience within a hygiene function in food manufacturing or FMCG.
Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, COSHH and audit compliance requirements.
Experience managing hygiene schedules, deep cleaning programmes and production equipment sanitation.
Knowledge of BRC Standards, internal auditing, root cause analysis or continuous improvement methodologies.
Relevant qualifications such as HACCP, IOSH or equivalent, along with experience within poultry, meat or retail food manufacturing, would be advantageous.
Working hours
Night shift only
Monday to Friday
5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Must be flexible to meet business needs
Expected to work at least one weekend per month
