Production / Machine Operatives required to work for a manufacturing company on the outskirts of Plymouth. The successful candidates will be responsible to carry out basic machine operating and heavy manual handling. These are Temporary to Permanent opportunities for candidates who demonstrate the willingness to succeed.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks:
* Heavy manual handling & following correct manual handling procedures.
* Operating production machinery.
* Reading drawings and following SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
* Basic quality inspection.
* Completing paperwork.
Experience / Skills and Candidate Attributes Required:
* Recent, proven, production experience gained from either an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
* Experience of using correct manual handling procedures to carry out heavy physical manual handling.
* A keen and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
* An excellent eye for detail coupled with excellent communication skills.
The successful candidates must commit to either of the following shift patterns. Shifts will be allocated on candidate preference:
* Static day shift working Monday to Friday 05:45 to 13:45 (40 hrs per week) - £13.40 pr hr, rising to £15.60 pr hr upon successful completion of training.
* Static late shift working Monday to Friday 13:45 to 22:15 (40 hrs per week) - £16.08 pr hr, rising to £18.72 pr hr upon successful completion of training.
* Static night shift working Sunday to Thursday 21:45 to 06:15 (40 hrs per week) - £16.75 pr hr, rising to £19.50 pr upon successful completion of training.
Own transport is highly preferred due to the location of our client and the above start and finish times.
