Teaching Assistant – Year 5 & 6 (Full Time, Long Term)

Zest Education is working closely with a supportive and forward‑thinking primary school in Stoke-on-Trent to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant to work across Year 5 and Year 6. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting upper KS2 pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
* Support teaching and learning across Year 5 and Year 6, working alongside experienced class teachers.
* Deliver targeted small‑group interventions and 1:1 support, including preparation for SATs.
* Assist with core subjects, particularly upper‑KS2 literacy and numeracy.
* Help maintain a focused, positive, and structured learning environment.
* Support behaviour management, classroom routines, and general organisation.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with KS2 pupils, ideally in upper KS2.
* Is confident supporting learning in Years 5 and 6.
* Communicates clearly and builds strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* Shows resilience, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
* Is committed to long‑term work and helping pupils achieve their best.
