Location: Worcester (Blackpole)
Pay Rate: £12.71 - £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 07:45 - 16:30
Friday: 07:30 - 13:30Contract: Full Time | Temporary to Permanent after 12 weeks (subject to attendance, performance and business requirements)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Worcester.
With over 40 years of experience supplying precision castings to a range of high-profile customers, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering long-term career prospects, structured training and genuine opportunities for progression.
This role would suit candidates with previous manufacturing, engineering or quality inspection experience who have excellent attention to detail and are keen to develop their inspection skills. Full training will be provided on specialist inspection equipment, making this an excellent opportunity to build a career in aerospace quality.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect aerospace components throughout the manufacturing process
Carry out visual inspections to identify defects and non-conforming parts
Measure components using a variety of inspection equipment
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Record inspection results accurately and complete quality documentation
Ensure components meet customer and aerospace quality standards
Report quality issues and work with production teams to resolve non-conformances
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
Training & Development
Full training will be provided to develop your inspection skills, including the use of:
Vernier calipers
Digital and manual calipers
Shadowgraph inspection equipment
Other precision measuring instruments and gaugesThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop into a skilled Quality Inspector within the aerospace industry.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment
Excellent attention to detail
Good numerical and problem-solving skills
Ability to follow procedures and work accurately
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn new inspection techniques and equipmentDesirable
Previous quality inspection experience
Ability to read engineering drawings
Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, calipers or gauges
Aerospace, automotive or precision engineering experienceWhat We Offer
