Drylining Estimator
Location: Midlands (Office-based)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established interior fit-out specialist with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality drylining, suspended ceilings, SFS, partitions and interior finishing packages across the commercial construction sector.
With continued growth, a strong pipeline of secured work and long-standing relationships with leading main contractors and developers, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Drylining Estimator to strengthen its pre-construction team.
This is an opportunity to join a financially stable contractor where quality, professionalism and long-term client relationships are at the heart of everything they do.
The Role
As Drylining Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a range of commercial projects, working closely with the commercial and operational teams to secure profitable new business.
Key Responsibilities
* Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
* Measure and price drylining, ceilings, partitions, SFS and associated interior packages.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
* Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
* Identify value engineering opportunities where appropriate.
* Liaise with clients, consultants and the internal project delivery team throughout the tender process.
* Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings when required.
* Support successful handovers to the commercial and project teams following contract award.
About You
You'll already have estimating experience within drylining or interior fit-out and be confident pricing projects from first principles.
Ideally you'll have:
* Proven experience estimating drylining and interior fit-out packages.
* Strong understanding of commercial construction.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
* Good knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail.
