We are currently recruiting for an experienced 3/5 Axis CNC Milling Machinist to join a busy and well-established precision engineering company. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional with programming, setting, and operating experience to work with high-specification machinery in a modern manufacturing environment.

Day Shift

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm

Night Shift

Monday to Thursday: 4:45pm - 3:15am
Friday: OffBoth shifts offer an excellent work-life balance, with either an early finish on Fridays or a permanent three-day weekend on nights.

Key Responsibilities

Produce CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for 3 and 5 Axis milling machines.
Set, adjust, and operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls.
Manufacture high-precision components to exact engineering specifications.
Conduct in-process inspections and final quality checks in line with internal quality standards.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Carry out daily machine checks and routine maintenance.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
Work flexibly to support production demands and business requirements.
Undertake additional duties appropriate to your skills and experience.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in a similar CNC milling role.
Strong background in precision engineering.
Familiarity with Fanuc control systems.
Engineering qualification with a CNC machining specialism.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desirable Experience

Minimum of three years' experience programming, setting, and operating 3/5 Axis CNC milling machines.
CAD/CAM programming knowledge.
Experience using MRP systems.
Automation experience.
Strong problem-solving and inspection skills.
