We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Entry IT Specialist to join our growing team at our Felinfach Whey Processing Factory in West Wales. Are you a hands-on IT professional looking to develop your talents while supporting critical site infrastructure and bridging IT and Operational Technology environments?

How you will make an impact

As an Entry IT Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the daily IT operations of the site. Working closely with both local teams and central IT/OT stakeholders, you will help maintain a robust and secure infrastructure while contributing to ongoing improvements and projects.

* Support IT operations and infrastructure to ensure system availability, performance and security.

* Assist with infrastructure lifecycle projects and local/global IT initiatives.

* Administer user accounts, permissions and licensing across systems.

* Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures aligned with group standards.

* Create and maintain network topology, ensuring secure segmentation and segregation.

This role sits within the Systems Management department, with a vital role in transforming IT structures on site. You will report to the Production IT Manager.

What will make you successful

You’re a self-starting IT professional with a proactive approach to problem solving and strong technical foundations including a bachelors degree in IT, CS or a related field or equivalent experience and 1-3 years of experience in IT system engineering or IT administration.

You are comfortable collaborating with both local and global teams to maintain reliable and secure systems, and you bring a curious mindset with the ability to resolve issues effectively while minimising operational disruption.

We are looking for someone that can demonstrate

* Infrastructure and systems expertise with knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and virtualisation (Hyper-V/VMware).

* An understanding of LAN/WAN, VPNs, Wi-Fi, firewalls, switches, routing, and cybersecurity best practices.

* Experienced with renewing and refreshing IT hardware in a live environment and backup solutions including version control and recovery.

An understanding of Operational Technology environments is desirable but not essential (PLC, MES, SCADA).

What do we offer?

We’re committed to your growth and development, offering internal and external training opportunities. You’ll enjoy a competitive salary, 26 days holiday, matched pension contributions up to 6%, life assurance, and flexible benefits. At Felinfach, you’ll join a team proud of its high job satisfaction, with plenty of challenges and support to help you succeed.

Would you like to join us?

Please apply as soon as possible, as we will process applications on a continuous basis. For additional information, please contact Liam Gunning (Talent Acquisition team at Arla Foods).
