We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a successful international manufacturing business based in Norwich, for a Temporary Purchasing Project Assistant to support a key supply chain compliance project.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with strong administration and data management skills to join a busy Supply Chain team. The role will support the collection, validation and maintenance of supplier data to ensure compliance with import regulations and internal business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, validate and maintain supplier data, including country of origin and material content information.
Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to obtain and verify compliance-related information.
Maintain accurate supplier and product records within company systems.
Support compliance with import requirements and country-of-origin regulations.
Work closely with colleagues across UK and international operations.
Assist with the development and testing of business reports to support compliance and decision-making.
Ensure tariff code and origin information is accurately maintained within business systems.
Support internal audits and respond to compliance-related queries.
Identify and resolve gaps or inconsistencies in supplier data.Requirements for the role:
Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, supply chain or administrative support role.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Strong organisational and data management skills.
Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to manage workloads independently and meet deadlines.Desirable
Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or distribution environment.
Exposure to import/export, customs compliance or supplier data management.
Experience supporting projects involving data collection, reporting or process improvement.This is a full time, on site role with an immediate start necessary. This temporary assignment is expected to last around 6-9 months. On site parking is provided.
