Day Shift: Hours of work 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday - Friday (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch each day) with a 3.30pm finish on a Friday
The Role: What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the precise fabrication and welding of assemblies to a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality MIG welding on assemblies, typically working with mild steel, 3mm – 20mm.
Read and accurately interpret technical drawings, specification sheets, and weld symbols.
Carry out precision measurements and accurately mark out materials for cutting and fabrication.
Select the correct materials and be skilled in cutting materials using methods such as burning, disc cutting, or machine cutting.
Utilise your skillset with various hand tools for assembly preparation and finishing.
Maintain safety, adhere strictly to health and safety rules and regulations, and maintain excellent production area housekeeping.
Work effectively, either individually or as part of a team, to meet demanding production targets and output quality.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven hands-on manufacturing experience, ideally in commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer manufacturing.
Demonstrable experience performing high-quality MIG welding and assembly.
Proficiency in reading and working from technical drawings.
Strong ability to maintain production target output and quality.
Experience using various hand tools.
Personal Profile:
A hands-on, organised, proactive, and self-motivated individual (self-starter).
Ability to follow clear instructions and adopt a flexible approach to work, occasionally performing other duties (training provided).
