Production Manager
Location: Shepton Mallet
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Production Manager with a background in the food manufacturing industry? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturer looking for a driven leader to oversee production operations and help deliver exceptional standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business where you'll play a key role in leading production teams, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring customer demands are met in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and develop production teams to achieve operational targets.
Ensure production schedules are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, quality and hygiene.
Work closely with Technical, Engineering, Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimise performance.
Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Food Safety and company procedures.
Manage staffing levels, performance, training and succession planning.
Support audits and ensure compliance with relevant food manufacturing standards.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Production Manager within a food manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Experience managing KPIs, production planning and continuous improvement projects.
Good understanding of food safety, HACCP and quality management systems.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
