MERITUS are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join an expanding Systems Integration Consultancy, supporting the maintenance, commissioning and reliability of critical electrical and control systems at a Nuclear Power Station in Heysham.
SERVICE ENGINEER - £NEG (ENQUIRE FOR DETAILS) - NUCLEAR POWER STATION - HEYSHAM - SC CLEARANCE ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED
We're looking for a Service Engineer with a strong electrical engineering background to carry out planned maintenance, fault finding, technical support and small project work within a highly regulated nuclear environment. Full training will be provided on site-specific systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
Install, test and commission small electrical and control system projects.
Carry out planned maintenance, site surveys, technical audits and system health checks.
Complete system upgrades, patching, backup and restore activities.
Diagnose and resolve faults on electrical and control systems.
Provide remote and on-site technical support.
Complete service reports and technical documentation.
Participate in an out-of-hours support rota.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Strong electrical engineering background.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and organisational skills.Desirable:
Experience with PLCs, RTUs or industrial control systems.
Experience within nuclear, power generation, utilities or other regulated industries.
Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
