Looking for a senior commercial role where you'll have genuine influence on major civil engineering projects?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they're looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take responsibility for the commercial management of civil engineering projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.
You'll also play an important role in mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors and supporting the wider commercial team.
Your Responsibilities
Managing project costs and commercial performance
Preparing and presenting monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
Procuring and managing subcontractors
Assessing subcontractor applications and issuing payment notices
Managing contractual matters under NEC and JCT contracts
Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and site teams
Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
What We're Looking For
Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Civil Engineering
Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
Excellent commercial awareness
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Organised, analytical and commercially focused
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to project sites
