Our client, Nottingham Community Housing Association, is looking for a locum Senior Payroll Officer to join their service.
Main responsibilities
Prefer to be familiar with ITrent
Administer and maintain all NCHA Group payroll and pensions systems and records e.g. colleague expenses, statutory payments, absence procedures as per current statutory rules and regulations within agreed timescales.
Operate all payroll control accounts and systems (such as net pay and pension) to ensure completeness and accuracy of transactions and records so as to meet NCHA Group's obligations to colleagues, employer and external bodies.
Ensure that all records relating to the section are accurate and up-to-date and all appropriate control accounts are reconciled on a regular basis; taking corrective action where necessary.
Extract and analyse data from both the financial and payroll systems, draft returns and various reports where required.
Assist in period and year end payroll close down procedures; producing the relevant internal and external documentation to required deadlines.
Contribute to system and operational development including procedure manuals.
Identify where corrective action is required; liaising with internal and external stakeholders to recommend corrective action.
Answer complex payroll related queries within agreed time limits; ensuring confidentiality of information at all times according to Data Protection Act.
Assist in the production of statutory and financial accounts and reports of NCHA Group; assisting internal and external auditors as required.
Provide input to processes for business transformation in the provision of financial management services to the NCHA Group.
Develop and maintain working relationships with customers.
Provide cover across roles in the directorate when required.
Maintenance and administration of appropriate manual and computerised records, and reconciliations thereon within agreed timescales; taking corrective action where required.
