Are you an organised people-person who enjoys keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes? Do you thrive in a varied role where no two days are the same and genuinely care about creating a positive, supportive workplace?

I'm recruiting on behalf of a friendly, established business based in Heathfield, Newton Abbot, who are looking for an Office Manager to become the backbone of their office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administration but also has a real interest in employee wellbeing and mental health.

What you'll be doing

As the Office Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the office operates efficiently every day. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the day-to-day running of the office.
Providing administrative support to the management team.
Answering calls, responding to emails and welcoming visitors.
Coordinating meetings, diaries and company communications.
Ordering office supplies and liaising with suppliers.
Maintaining accurate records and company documentation.
Supporting HR administration, including onboarding paperwork.
Organising team events and helping to create a positive working environment.
Championing employee wellbeing and supporting mental health initiatives across the business.
What we're looking for

You'll be someone who:

Has previous office management, office coordinator or senior administration experience.
Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Can manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is approachable, caring and passionate about supporting others.
Has an interest in mental health and workplace wellbeing.
Holds a Mental Health First Aid qualification or would be keen to complete the training.
Is confident using Microsoft Office and general office systems.
