Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sub-Contracts Manager to oversee the commercial and contractual management of software and technology subcontractors throughout the contract life cycle. The role will focus on software licensing, supplier governance, contract novation, and handback/exit management, ensuring commercial, legal and operational risks are effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage subcontract agreements from award through to completion, renewal and termination.
- Lead the commercial and contractual management of software licensing agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Manage contract novation activities, ensuring seamless transfer of contractual rights and obligations.
- Plan and oversee supplier handback and exit activities, including transition planning, knowledge transfer and asset management.
- Support procurement, legal and operational teams during contract negotiations and variations.
- Monitor supplier performance, compliance, risks and contractual deliverables.
- Resolve contractual issues and disputes whilst protecting the organisation's commercial interests.
- Maintain accurate contract documentation and reporting.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Sub-Contracts Manager, Commercial Manager or Contracts Manager within an IT, technology or software environment.
- Strong understanding of software licensing and software supplier agreements.
- Experience managing contract handback, exit and transition activities.
- Experience leading contract novation processes.
- Strong knowledge of subcontract management, commercial governance and contract administration.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
