Mobile HGV Technician – Day Shift
Location: Northampton (Mobile Role)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join our team covering the Northampton area. This is a day shift role offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per year, depending on experience.
As a Mobile HGV Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out on-site servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles at customer depots, fleet sites, and roadside locations. A fully equipped company service van will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out mobile servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Attend vehicle breakdowns and roadside call-outs when required.
Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks in line with DVSA standards.
Accurately complete job cards, service sheets, and digital reports.
Maintain the company van, tools, and equipment to a high standard.
Provide professional customer service while working on-site.
Requirements
Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Mobile HGV Engineer.
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) preferred.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
Full UK driving licence required (HGV licence beneficial but not essential).
Good communication and customer-facing skills.
