CareerMakers Recruitment currently looking for Brazing Operators to join our client based in Accrington, BB5 area.
Duties:
* Prepare components for brazing.
* Select the appropriate filler metals and fluxes.
* Set up and operate brazing equipment.
* Produce high-quality brazed joints in line with engineering specifications.
* Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
* Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
* Maintain brazing equipment and keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
* Safe handling of compressed gases and fuel cylinders.
* Correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Awareness of fire safety procedures and ventilation requirements.
* Ability to carry out visual inspections of brazed joints.
* Competent in using measuring equipment such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
* Understanding of brazed joint quality standards and acceptance criteria.
Skills and experience:
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
* Understanding of brazing processes, filler metals, and fluxes.
* Knowledge of a range of base materials, including steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, and aluminium.
* Experience with heating methods such as torch, induction, or furnace brazing.
* Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
* Good eyesight, including colour recognition where applicable.
Working hours :
Monday - Friday: 7.45am - 4.15pm
Pay: £14.27
