We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shovel Driver to join a busy and well-established operation in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Loading Shovel Operator looking for stable work.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of materials across the site, ensuring operational targets are met while maintaining high health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operating a Loading Shovel safely and efficiently
Loading and unloading materials.
Moving bulk materials around the site
Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks
Reporting any defects or maintenance issues
Adhering to all site health and safety procedures
Supporting other operational duties when required
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Requirements
Previous experience as a Shovel Driver, Loading Shovel Operator, Plant Operator, or similar role
Valid Loading Shovel Licence (CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
Flexible approach to work and shift patterns
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Desirable Skills
Experience within recycling, aggregates, waste management, ports, manufacturing, or construction environments
Additional plant machinery tickets would be advantageous
