Project Manager – Affordable Housing | Mansfield
Up to £80,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance/Company Car + Bonus + Private Healthcare + Pension
Lead a £19m, 77-unit affordable housing development with a clear progression route into Contracts Management.
If you're looking for a role where you can take full ownership of a significant project, while being part of a growing contractor with long-term opportunities, this could be worth considering.
I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established, privately owned contractor for a site-based Project Manager to deliver a £19m, 77-unit affordable housing development in Mansfield.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall delivery of the project from site set-up through to completion. You'll be supported by two Site Managers, allowing you to focus on programme, client management, commercial coordination and the successful delivery of the scheme.
The project is being delivered on behalf of Mansfield District Council under an NEC contract. Whilst previous NEC experience would be beneficial, specialist consultant support is in place.
What you'll do
* Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a £19m affordable housing development.
* Lead and support two Site Managers throughout the construction programme.
* Manage programme, quality, health & safety and overall project performance.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, consultants and subcontractors.
* Work closely with the commercial, technical and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
* Chair progress meetings and report regularly to the Contracts Manager.
What you'll need
* Experience delivering residential or affordable housing developments for a main contractor.
* Previous experience as a Project Manager, or a Senior Site Manager already operating at Project Manager level.
* Strong leadership, programme management and client-facing skills.
* Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
* Degree qualified or professionally qualified (MCIOB or equivalent) would be advantageous.
* NEC contract experience is desirable but not essential.
About the company
The business specialises in the delivery of affordable housing and regeneration projects across the Midlands, working predominantly with Housing Associations and Local Authority clients.
They have a strong pipeline of secured work and are continuing to invest in their operational team. This role also offers a genuine opportunity to progress into a Contracts Manager position as the business continues to grow
