Location: Aberdeen (Office-Based, Monday–Friday)
Contract Type: Ltd Company Contractor Preferred

The Opportunity
Our client is a major UK North Sea operator currently undertaking the early-stage planning of a significant offshore decommissioning programme. As part of a rigorous and transparent planning process, they are actively evaluating the most appropriate decommissioning arrangements for a range of offshore installations and associated infrastructure.
To support this important phase of work, we are seeking an experienced Principal Process Engineer to play a key role in the feasibility, conceptual and study stages of the project.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile decommissioning programme with a leading industry operator while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead process engineering activities across decommissioning studies and projects.
* Support the identification, assessment and development of decommissioning options for offshore facilities and infrastructure.
* Deliver feasibility studies, conceptual engineering and early project phase evaluations.
* Prepare and review technical reports, engineering deliverables and process documentation.
* Provide technical input into abandonment, topsides and subsea decommissioning strategies.
* Participate in risk assessments, HAZID workshops and technical reviews.
* Interface with internal stakeholders, project teams and specialist contractors.
* Ensure all engineering activities are delivered safely and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Candidate Requirements
* Degree qualified in Chemical, Process or related Engineering discipline.
* Minimum 10 years' Oil & Gas industry experience.
* Demonstrable experience working on decommissioning projects within the offshore sector.
* Strong background in feasibility studies, conceptual engineering and study-phase projects.
* Proven ability to lead engineering activities and provide technical guidance.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable Experience
* Experience supporting North Sea asset decommissioning programmes.
* Knowledge of UK offshore decommissioning regulations and industry best practices.
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
