Are you an experienced Quality Inspector or Quality Engineer looking to join a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment?
We're supporting a leading advanced engineering business that operates a 24/7 machine shop, delivering complex components to exacting quality standards. Due to continued growth, we're looking for quality professionals across multiple shift patterns to support production and drive continuous improvement.
The Role
As part of the Quality team, you'll play a key role in ensuring components meet customer, regulatory and internal quality requirements. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Operations teams, you'll be responsible for inspection activities, problem-solving and maintaining high-quality standards throughout production.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Inspectors
Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections on precision machined components
Use a variety of mechanical measuring equipment, including:
Verniers
Micrometers
Height gauges
Bore gauges
Surface measurement equipment
Operate and interpret results from Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
Complete inspection reports and quality documentation
Support non-conformance investigations and containment activitiesQuality Engineers
Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
Support customer and supplier quality activities
Analyse inspection data and quality metrics
Assist with APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans and process validation activities
Ensure compliance with quality management systems and customer requirements
What We're Looking For
Previous experience within a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
Experience using CMMs and mechanical inspection equipment
Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced production environment
Knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable
Aerospace, automotive, defence or advanced engineering experience
Experience with CMM programming (Quality Engineers)
Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 or equivalent quality standards
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure
