We are looking for a motivated Junior Manufacturing Project Engineer to join an innovative engineering and technology business based in Hampshire. This opportunity is ideally suited to a graduate engineer or someone in the early stages of their engineering career who is looking to gain exposure across manufacturing, engineering and project delivery within a highly technical environment.

The company designs, develops and manufactures advanced technology solutions supplied into global Energy, Defence and Science markets. With a strong reputation for innovation and engineering excellence, this role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and project professionals whilst gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle, from development through to manufacture. The position has been created to support ongoing growth and increased project activity across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the delivery of engineering and manufacturing projects from concept through to production.
Assisting with project planning, scheduling, reporting and stakeholder communication.
Coordinating activities between engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams.
Supporting new product introduction (NPI) activities and manufacturing readiness reviews.
Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, efficiency and product quality.
Assisting with root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
Supporting engineering change management and documentation updates.
Maintaining project records, documentation and progress reports.
Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support project delivery.

Key Skills

Degree, HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Passion for engineering, manufacturing and technology.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.
Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.Desirable Skills

Placement year, internship or industrial experience within manufacturing or engineering.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production environments.
Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing projects.
Understanding of project management principles.
Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience working within highly regulated or technical industries.What You Get In Return
