Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 8am - 5pm
We are recruiting an Engineering Assistant for a leading engineering business in Leeds. Operating a nationwide network of Service & Supply Centres and mobile service technicians, we provide a rapid-response service to customers across construction, manufacturing, transport, utilities, waste management, agriculture, rail, and industrial sectors.
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Assistant Centre Manager to support the day-to-day operation of our Leeds Service & Supply Centre.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting operational performance, customer service, sales growth, technician productivity, stock management, health and safety compliance, and overall centre profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Centre Manager in the daily running of the Leeds Centre.
2. Use mechanical experience to help build up hoses
3. Coordinate technicians and workshop activities to maximise productivity and service levels.
4. Monitor job scheduling, response times and completion rates.
5. Ensure all operational processes are followed consistently and efficiently.
6. Assist with managing the on-call rota and emergency response requirements
7. Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records
8. Monitor stock usage, ordering and replenishment activities
9. Ensure company vehicles, equipment and tools are maintained to required standards
