Technical Sales Manager
Location: North West (Field Based)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + commission + car allowance
Role: Permanent - Full Time

Are you an experienced sales professional with a background in aggregates, waste, muck away or construction materials?
We're recruiting for a growing business looking to appoint a Technical Sales Manager to develop new business, build lasting customer relationships and support the continued growth of a specialist soil washing and recycling operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where you'll have the autonomy to manage your own territory, work closely with industry-leading customers and play a key role in driving sustainable waste solutions.

The Opportunity

As Technical Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for developing new material streams into the business while helping customers find commercially viable and environmentally responsible solutions for surplus soils and inert materials.
Working with contractors, developers, demolition companies and civil engineering businesses, you'll combine technical knowledge with a consultative sales approach to grow both new and existing accounts.

What You'll Be Doing
Developing new business across the North West
Building relationships with contractors, developers and earthworks businesses
Advising customers on waste classifications, acceptance criteria and recovery options
Producing quotations and negotiating commercial agreements
Managing existing customer accounts while identifying further opportunities
Working closely with operational teams to ensure materials meet permit requirements
Monitoring market trends and competitor activityWhat We're Looking For

Experience within one or more of the following sectors:

Waste Management
Aggregates
Quarrying
Muck Away
Recycling & Recovery
Soil Washing or Soil Treatment
Earthworks
Construction MaterialsYou'll also have:

A proven track record in technical or commercial sales
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
Commercial awareness and a consultative approach
Knowledge of waste legislation or material classifications would be advantageous
A full UK driving licenceWhat's in it for You?
