Salary: £1,800 - £2,200 per month

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils across the classroom, working alongside experienced teachers to help children achieve their full potential. You will provide support on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and during whole-class activities, encouraging pupils to become confident, independent learners.

Key Responsibilities

Support teaching and learning across the classroom
Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in lessons
Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet pupils' individual needs
Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Requirements

Essential:

GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A positive, patient, and enthusiastic approachDesirable:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
Knowledge of SEN and intervention support
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Degree in Education, Psychology, or a related subject
