Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role within a welcoming Junior School?
Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive Junior School in Radcliffe on Trent. This is a full-time position, starting in September 2026, offering a daily rate of £95 per day.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work as a general class Teaching Assistant, providing in-class support alongside the class teacher while also delivering targeted small group intervention sessions to help pupils make excellent progress.
As the Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 classrooms
Work alongside the class teacher to provide high-quality classroom support
Deliver targeted small group intervention sessions to support pupils in core subjects
Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs of pupils, providing both support and appropriate challenge
Identify misconceptions and provide effective interventions to develop pupils' knowledge and understanding
Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Manage behaviour using calm, positive, and consistent strategies
Work closely with teaching staff and the wider school team to support pupil progress and wellbeing
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Experience working within a Primary or Junior School setting
Experience supporting pupils within whole-class and small group intervention settings
Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent
An NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or an equivalent relevant qualification) is desirable
A strong understanding of child development and effective classroom practice
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
