A Chartered Building Surveyor is needed to join an established building consultancy in London, taking on a strong mix of commercial projects, professional work and client-led instructions.
The successful Chartered Building Surveyor will join a growing consultancy with a long-standing reputation across the built environment. This is a role for a Chartered Building Surveyor who wants quality work, more responsibility and a clear route towards Associate level and beyond.
The Chartered Building Surveyor Role
The successful Chartered Building Surveyor will deliver a broad range of building surveying services across commercial, residential and institutional projects.
You will work across office, retail and industrial portfolios, providing technical advice, managing instructions and supporting wider project delivery. The role offers a strong balance of autonomy, client contact and support from an experienced consultancy team.
Duties of the Chartered Building Surveyor to include:
* Carry out pre-acquisition and condition surveys
* Manage dilapidations and party wall matters
* Provide contract administration and project management services
* Prepare specifications, schedules and technical reports
* Advise on property acquisition, development and asset management strategies
* Support sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives
* Maintain strong client relationships across a varied portfolio
The Person?
The successful Chartered Building Surveyor will have a strong technical background and previous experience within a building consultancy environment.
The Chartered Building Surveyor will ideally have:
* MRICS qualification
* A degree in Building Surveying or a related field
* Strong knowledge of building pathology, contract administration and project delivery
* Experience managing multiple projects and priorities
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills
* An interest in sustainability and building performance
