An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Services Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy supporting the delivery of high-profile projects within the nuclear sector. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, helping to develop robust engineering solutions and ensuring successful project delivery.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Lead the development and delivery of mechanical services and fluid system designs across complex engineering projects.
Provide specialist technical input on water, piping, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, ensuring solutions meet operational and regulatory requirements.
Manage engineering activities throughout the design lifecycle, supporting projects from initial concept through construction, commissioning, and ongoing asset operation.
Oversee and coordinate the technical output of external design partners and specialist contractors, ensuring quality and compliance standards are achieved.
Review engineering documentation, calculations, specifications, and design packages while contributing to technical reviews and engineering assurance activities.You will have the following qualifications and experience
Demonstrable experience delivering mechanical systems and services design within a highly regulated engineering environment.
Strong technical knowledge of fluid systems, including water distribution, pipework, pneumatic, and hydraulic applications.
Experience defining, managing, and validating complex engineering requirements and technical solutions.
Proven track record supporting major facilities, infrastructure, defence, marine, or nuclear projects through multiple project phases.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external delivery partners.Desirable experience includes nuclear sector knowledge, involvement in submarine or naval programmes, familiarity with defence engineering standards, and Chartered Engineer status or progression towards professional registration.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
