This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in supporting the logistics and operations function, ensuring the smooth coordination of deliveries, transport, and administration.
Key Responsibilities
Processing customer orders and ensuring all information is entered accurately.
Coordinating deliveries and collections with transport providers.
Liaising with customers, suppliers, and drivers to provide updates and resolve queries.
Preparing delivery notes, invoices, transport documentation, and reports.
Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems.
Tracking shipments and monitoring delivery schedules.
Supporting stock administration and inventory records where required.
Handling incoming telephone calls and emails professionally.
Providing general administrative support to the logistics and operations team.
Assisting with continuous improvements to administrative processes.
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for someone who has:
Previous experience in a logistics, transport, or administration role.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
Experience using transport management or ERP systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
