PSR Solutions are working with a market leading client within the Residential Groundworks Sector to recruit a Site Engineer to Join their Production team on a permanent basis. This role will cover projects around the Northampton Area.
Site Engineer Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure the latest approved drawings, specifications and setting out information are always used.
Verify all design information including coordinates, levels and site control data prior to setting out.
Identify, report and resolve discrepancies in design information in conjunction with the Technical Department and project teams.
Carry out accurate setting out of works including foundations, drainage, roads, structures and associated infrastructure.
Independently check all setting out prior to release to site teams.
Undertake engineering self-checks and validation of works during and after installation.
Maintain robust engineering records including site notes, survey data, as-built information and supporting documentation.
Ensure engineering data is stored, backed up and communicated clearly for site and project use.
Ensure all survey and setting out equipment is correctly maintained, calibrated and stored.
Use GPS, total stations and surveying instruments competently in line with company procedures.
Provide clear and practical engineering guidance to site teams based on design intent and site conditions.
Liaise effectively with Contracts Managers, Project Managers, Foremen, Clients and the Technical Department.
Coordinate engineering requirements across multiple sites where required.
Respond to site queries and urgent engineering requirements in a timely manner.
Support planning and allocation of engineering resources to maintain site progress.
Maintain professional standards when representing the company on site.
Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
Support the completion and review of RAMS, permits and method statements where required.Site Engineer Requirements
General education equivalent to A Levels.
Relevant engineering or construction qualification.
Valid CSCS card.
Further civil engineering qualifications (HNC/HND or above)
Strong understanding of civil engineering and groundworks methods.
Knowledge of setting out principles.
Awareness of Health & Safety requirements
Knowledge of technical equipment required for the role.
Experience in civil engineering or groundworks.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong numerical and problem-solving ability.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Good communication skills.
Reliable, self-motivated and professional.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; calm and practical approach to problem solving.
