Following successful completion of your probation, you'll join the Tarmac Logistics Academy and be enrolled on a Level 2 Traffic Office Apprenticeship,providingexcellent opportunities for long-term career development.
The Role
As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, efficient and customer-focused delivery of aggregates and asphalt to our customers. Working closely with Transport Planners, Customer Service Coordinators, operational teams and commercial colleagues, you'll help ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Plan, allocate and schedule deliveries using Tarmac's routeoptimisationtechnology
Work closely with Transport Planners and Customer Service Coordinators to support smooth daily operations
Provide proactive updates to customers regarding delivery status, delay sand changes
Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to maximise plant and vehicleutilisation
Update planning systems accurately to maintain real-time delivery visibility
Prioritisesafety in all planning activities and follow Tarmac operational standards
Respond quickly to changing operational demands by adjusting schedules and re-routing deliveries where required
Support continuous improvement by identifying ways to enhance efficiency and customer experience
