Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Newton Aycliffe
Salary: £41,500 per annum
Shift Pattern: 3 Shift Rotation (Monday-Friday)
The Role
A leading manufacturing business based in Newton Aycliffe is looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its established engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically or mechanically biased engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance to ensure maximum machine uptime.
Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
Work on continuous improvement projects to increase reliability and efficiency.
Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
Support production to maximise plant performance.
Requirements
Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or Engineering Qualification (NVQ Level 3/C&G or equivalent).
Multi-skilled with electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
